About Marinetrans

Marinetrans is a specialised company dealing exclusively with marine spare parts forwarding and logistics. Our company has a unique system developed with ship owners and managers that saves clients time and money. We have free storage hotels in 22 locations strategically located as to where the majority of spare parts are sourced. These storage hotels are to be used by our clients for consolidation purposes in order to limit the amount of individual shipments that are sent to final destination.
Within Europe we have what we have named ETL-European Trucking logistics which is a huge cost savings method to consolidate spares from various European counries to one main hub. In Helsinki, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Oslo, Hamburg and London, we have warehouses for your suppliers to deliver orders to. Each Friday we will truck these orders from these warehouses to our main hub located in Amsterdam. Spares arrive each Monday morning. Once in Amsterdam, cargo will remain in stock until a shipping instruction is issued by your team. As you can see, this saves a great deal of money as instead of suppliers delivering from each country and charging you for each transport to a main consolidation point, we take orders in batch. Also, all cargo is assembled in one location so less shipments to be sent to vessel at any given port.
All incoming cargo is reported same day it arrives in any of our 22 warehouses. All warehouses are on line with Marinetrans IT system so reporting is live. We will send a stock list to your team on any updates to inventory. Also, we will assign a password to you for access to our web so you can view stock ay any given time.

Marinetrans web can be used for viewing stock, issuing shipping instructions, checking POD of shipments, searching historical information and checking any orders that we are currently working on.

So all via a centralized customer service contact, you can arrange shipment forwarding and delivery to vessel with one instruction. No need to liase with any agent at destination which again limits your use of time.

The Network

Free and independent group of affiliates with expertise within the marine industry. Our partners have been hand picked and trained according to Marine Trans quality routines and procedures. Presently we have 22 specific stations located in strategic locations.

Free warehousing for local supplies spares is offered from each of these facilities so shipowners can stock pile spares for eventual shipment consolidations. Long term storage is also available after agreement.

All spares arriving at any of our terminals are marked with vessel name, bar coded, re-packed if required and of course, reported to owner as on hand by means of a stock list. Clients obtain a web site pass word for viewing stock at will 24/7. Marking + packing servcies are free of charge unless actual outlay to purchase material.

In addition to our 22 stations, Marine Trans has working partners in over 2,000 ports world-wide for arranging custom clearance and delivery to vessel. Wherever your need, Marine Trans can help you.

The Transport

Marine Trans staff will chose the most cost effective mode of transport to meet any delivery deadline. Our staff are trained to coach you and advise bets options with consideration to transit time and custom clearance time at destination.

Airfreight: Along with our partners, favorable volume agreements have been made with leading quality airlines.
Road: Cargo haulers are picked after their reliability. Groupage and dedicated trucking services are available.
Seafreight: We use the premium lines which offer the best estimated transit times and price.
Courier: Our staff will chose this option of transport when cost and reliability benefits can be achieved.
Personal courier: On top urgent matters when traditional airfreight is inadequate, Marine Trans has personnel to hand carry your spares. Our global partners stand ready to meet any of our couriers for assistance at destination.

Logistic system

Within Europe we have established warehouses in most countries you may purchase in. Suppliers deliver to our local facility and each Friday we truck all spares on hand to our Super Hub at Amsterdam for cost effective consolidation. Our ETL or European Trucking Logistics is unique within the industry. Our staff are trained to look at clients stock positions and suggest the most cost effective way to meet delivery deadline.

Port services

In excess of 2 000 ports Marine Trans offers Door to Deck service, custom clearance and direct delivery on board your vessel. Deck to Door service is also available for landed items. In cases where only a charters agent is involved, this is an excellent option.
