Free and independent group of affiliates with expertise within the marine industry. Our partners have been hand picked and trained according to Marine Trans quality routines and procedures. Presently we have 26 specific stations located in strategic locations.
Free warehousing is offered from each of these facilities so shipowners can stock pile spares for eventual shipment consolidations.
All spares arriving at any of our terminals are marked with vessel name, re-packed if required and of course, reported to owner as on hand by means of a stock list. Marking + packing servcies are free of charge unless actual outlay to purchase material.
In addition to our 26 stations, Marine Trans has working partners in over 300 ports world-wide. Wherever your need, Marine Trans can help you.
The Transport
Marine Trans staff will chose the most cost effective mode of transport to meet any delivery deadline.
Airfreight: Along with our partners, favorable volume agreements have been made with leading quality airlines.
Road: Cargo haulers are picked after their reliability. Groupage and dedicated trucking services are available.
Seafreight: We use the premium lines which offer the best estimated transit times and price.
Courier: Our staff will chose this option of transport when cost and reliability benefits can be achieved.
Personal courier: On top urgent matters when traditional airfreight is inadequate, Marine Trans has personnel to hand carry your spares. Our global partners stand ready to meet any of our couriers for assistance at destination.
All assignments, hereunder transportation, freight forwarding or storage are under the General Conditions of NSAB 2000 (Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders). Under storage contracts with Marinetrans As, the customers are themselves responsible for insuring the goods in storage ( section 27 C3). Marinetrans does not accept liability for loss of or damage to goods beyond insurance coverage.
Communication
All communication is centralized through our office in Lysaker, Norway. One contact for any worldwide requirement.
Marine Trans offers electronic reporting and integration with companies purchase systems. Clients can work from our web site viewing stock list, checking orders in process, looking at past orders and issue shipping instructions directly.

Logistic system
Real savings to any client of Marine Trans come from our logistics. Our system is designed to reduce the amount of individual shipments arriving at destination through consolidation. Within Europe we have established warehouses in most countries you may purchase in. Suppliers deliver to our local facility and each Friday we truck all spares on hand to our Super Hub at Amsterdam for cost effective consolidation. Our ETL or European Trucking Logistics is unique within the industry.
Port services
In excess of 650 ports Marine Trans offers Door to Deck service, custom clearance and direct delivery on board your vessel. Deck to Door service is also available for landed items. In cases where only a charters agent is involved, this is an excellent option.

Monitoring of Shipments - Every shipment is closely monitored to achieve service reliability. Any deviation from plan is reported.
Cost Evaluation - Your contact person will always choose the most economical and safe means of transport to meet delivery deadline.
Supplier Follow Up - Your contact person will keep contact with your supplier to assure spares are on hand in due time for shipment dispatch.
